Logging is a Skill in Derelict. Logging is leveled by cutting down trees and increases harvesting speed different trees with higher levels.
Players may still cut down trees above their level, albeit at a lower speed that scales with the level difference.
Gideon will provide new players with their first axe, Old Axe, to collect Oak Logs for Gideon's Request 1. Additional Old Axes may be purchased from Gideon at no additional cost in the case a player loses all their axes.
