There are eleven Skills in Derelict, which are leveled up based on their respective categories. Leveling up skills will provide permanent increases of various stats and access to new recipes, but will require more experience to be able to level up as the levels increase. Additionally, gaining skill experience will reward Insight experience. Insight level can be regarded as the player's overall level.
The player's skill levels can be seen by opening the skills menu.
Individual skill levels are able to surpass insight level.
