Weapons are type of Equipment in Derelict. Weapons are offensive equipment used by players to inflict damage against Enemies, Bosses and occasionally other players. Derelicts features 46 Weapons that may be equipped by players. Only a single weapon may be equipped in the mainhand at a time.
If a weapon is not equipped to the mainhand slot, the player will default to using Fists.

Weapon Requirements & Scaling
Weapons in Derelict have a set of specific Skill requirements players must reach to equip them. For example if a weapon has a equip requirement of Strength 4, a player cannot utilize the weapon until they have reached those requirements.
Scaling is how much bonus Power and Arcane is added to the player's stats based on their Strength, Sorcery or Archery levels. Weapons in the Bronze, Iron and Steel group have lower scaling than other Weapons. For example, if a weapon provides a bonus +130% Power, the player's Power stat will be increased by that amount. Keep in mind that stat multipliers are additive, meaning that bonus stat multipliers scale off the player's base stats.
In short, players deal more damage with the same weapons the higher their Strength, Sorcery or Archery levels are.
Weapon Damage Types
All Weapons in Derelict deal either physical damage or magical damage. Physical damage is mitigated by the target's Armor while magical damage is mitigated by the target's Resistance. Being conscious of your weapon's damage type can be beneficial as certain Enemies and Bosses have unbalanced ratios of Armor and Resistance.
Basic Attacks of Fists, Daggers, Swords, Greatswords, Rapiers, Hammers and Bows deal physical damage.
Basic Attacks of Staves deal magical damage.
Weapon Upgrades
Like Armor, Weapon upgrades can be done at the Anvil. Here, you can use Crowns and Forging Stones to increase the Grade of your weapons.
Upgrading a weapon will increase its Power and Arcane scaling. Weapons may be upgraded to Grade 20, with each successive grade level costing more and more Crowns and Forging Stones.
Weapon Arts
Some weapons come with an exclusive Weapon Arts that can be activated by pressing Z. Weapons can have their Weapon Arts replaced in the Abilities menu at any time.
See Weapon Arts for more information.
